In accordance with the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union, and with the approval and guidance of the Standing Committee of the Trade Union of Vietnam National University and the Party Committee of VNU Center for Education Accreditation (VNU-CEA), in November 19, 2025, VNU-CEA’s Trade Union held its 4th Trade Union Congress for the 2025–2030 term to review and evaluate the results of its activities and to determine the orientations and tasks for the new term.

Attending and directing the Congress were representatives of the VNU Trade Union, Assoc. Prof. Dr Tạ Thị Thu Hiền – Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell and Director of VNU-CEA. Also attending the Congress were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đinh Văn Toàn – Deputy Director of VNU-CEA and Chair of the Accreditation Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đinh Văn Dũng – Vice Chairman of the Management Council; representatives of the Trade Union Executive Committees of several VNU units; and all trade union members of VNU-CEA.

The 4th Trade Union Congress of VNU-CEA focused on reviewing the implementation of activities during the 2023–2025 period, analysing and forecasting the situation, and determining the objectives, directions and solutions of the Trade Union for the 2025–2030 term to ensure alignment with the VNU-CEA’s strategy and development goals through 2030.

During the 2023–2025 period, the Trade Union activities of VNU-CEA achieved many notable results across all fields, with improved quality and efficiency. The Trade Union organisation played an active role in contributing to the development of a professional staff with a solid political stance and high expertise. The VNU-CEA’s Trade Union encouraged and motivated staff to participate in various professional activities, making positive contributions to the construction and development of the VNU-CEA and enhancing the material and spiritual well-being of employees. Attention was given to women’s affairs, and union members actively participated in charitable activities and community service. Notably, during its operations, the Trade Union Executive Committee promptly monitored situations and adjusted union activities in response to socio-economic changes in the country, the sector, and the VNU-CEA itself, ensuring the successful completion of planned tasks.

Speaking at the Congress, comrade Tạ Thị Thu Hiền – Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell, Director of VNU-CEA, on behalf of the VNU-CEA’s Party Committee, acknowledged and expressed gratitude for the efforts and contributions of the VNU-CEA’s Trade Union over the past 12 years. The Deputy Secretary suggested that the Trade Union Executive Committee for the next term should continue to leverage existing strengths, solid political stance, and innovate in organizing both union and professional activities; promote democracy combined with members’ sense of responsibility to further strengthen solidarity. On behalf of the Party Committee and the VNU-CEA’s leadership, Comrade Tạ Thị Thu Hiền committed that the Party Cell and the VNU-CEA would work together with the Trade Union to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of staff, and to support, facilitate, and create favorable conditions for Trade Union activities to spread positive values within the community.

After a period of serious and effective work, the Congress completed all agenda items and elected the 5th-term Executive Committee of the Trade Union in VNU-CEA for the 2025–2030 term, consisting of three members.

Representative of the VNU-CEA’s leadership presented flowers to congratulate the Executive Committee of the Trade Union in VNU-CEA for the 2025–2030 term.

All union members of the VNU-CEA’s Trade Union voted to approve the Congress Resolution and expressed their determination, solidarity, and unanimous commitment to strive for the successful achievement of the goals and tasks set for the 2025–2030 period.
